My Mission and Philosophy

The mission of my tax practice is to provide for my family, and build our network of friends, by guiding individuals, families, and small businesses in dealing with the IRS.  I work to attract clients who are conscious participants and local leaders in the development of an ecologically sustainable economy, so that my efforts support positive change.

I provide a higher level of sophistication and planning than the brand name national tax preparation services. I make available a similar level of service as CPA firms that focus on high income individuals, without matching their high overhead costs. I fill a niche for individuals and small business owners who want some strategic sophistication, but are not interested in paying for the fancy letterhead of the high rate firms.

I demand adherence to the law from all of my clients. When the law is not clear or when it provides several options, as it often does, I will work with you to take a position that is in your favor, based upon a reasonable interpretation of the law. I am not afraid to help you take an aggressive tax position, when there is a reasonable chance of success if the position were to be audited.
